Ebony Skies
The sun slips over Earth's edge,
where the horizon bleeds red.
And as the darkness descends,
sullied shadows swiftly spread.
Sol creates a twilight zone,
whereas silence fuels a hush.
And slowly, everything slows—
there's no longer any rush.
Shadows merge with silhouettes,
as the last of daylight dies.
And a crescent moon rises,
while Dusk inks ebony skies.
Night unveils a twinkling light,
shining brightly from afar.
Like a diamond in the sky,
twinkle-twinkle, little star.
