Sunset sears scarlet ribbons
tangled in a purple cloud.
And nature suppresses sounds;
just the softest are allowed.
A cerise sun slowly sets
behind a magenta glow.
And moonbeams begin to dance;
as the evening shadows show.
Orange edges the Earth's rim,
while a reddish tinge tints Mars.
And twilight transforms the sky;
as heaven unveils its stars.
Darkness falls like a curtain;
sprinkled with droplets of dew.
And reality slumbers;
as dusk dreams in shades of blue.
A gnarled pine tree morphs into
an ebony silhouette.
And today greets tomorrow;
although it hasn't arrived yet.
