Sunset sears scarlet ribbons tangled within purple cloud. And nature suppresses sounds only the softest allowed. A cerise sun slowly sets behind a magenta glow. And moonbeams begin to dance as the evening shadows show. Orange edges the Earth's rim while a reddish blush tints Mars. And twilight shifts into night as heaven unveils shy stars. Darkness falls like a curtain sprinkled with droplets of dew. And reality slumbers as dusk dreams in shades of blue. A gnarled pine tree morphs into an ebony silhouette. And today greets tomorrow though it hasn't started yet. (Quatrain) 12/5/2015

I think SO got it just right...you write as though you hold a paint brush in your hand. The third verse is my favorite. . . very lovely, Emile.
