Ebony Cries

Ebony cries as she closes her eyes, lace up her thighs cutting her lies down to size- Crimson petals fall onto jade thorns as she remembers the moment she wept and mourned. A fever broke and beauty flutters with wings of silver as she mutters and stutters. For life has been rough and pain has been tough and through the sorrow she still weeps for tomorrow- No lungs to borrow a breath of fresh air, just a lonely blithe with no one to care. There once was a knight who brought her delight but his white horse galloped off into the black night. Her sight not sought and her fight not fought as she wishes she bought good fortune and fame- She’s just a pitiful dame without a proper name and good faith she was never taught. Blood red tears fill her soul with fears and her inspiration gone with the breeze- Forgotten moments on the verge of atonement as her beauty she never sees. Feelings of disgust walk with her lust and her memories flaunted into disregard- For without any trust, loss is a must and now life is just too damn hard. Ebony cries blood red tears from her eyes… Picture Prompt March 9, 2017

Picture prompts are sometimes tough to work with but it seems you had no issue with this one. The rhyme scheme alone makes this an incredible poem and then how you intertwine such darkness throughout a competent narrative adds to the mystique. I suggest you quickly find a happy picture prompt before you get swept away by the storm clouds. Imagine a rainbow over the poppy fields or something.
