Eat Plants

Big fangs
Strong claws
Sharp hooves
Men's guns
Instruments of species survival
Let's hope for a vegan revival.

Thought provoking poem Hilda. We should all eat less meat (especially red meat) for the health of ourselves & the planet. Full respect to veggies and vegans.

I'm happy that you like it. I live near Best Friends Animal Sanctuary and they have a vegan restaurant that is very good. Just $5. I am not vegan yet but I try. I'll probably keep fish.

Cooking vegan is an art. I'm learning too. Thank you for enjoying my poem.

I had to eat beef because of my low blood count, but I prefer fish and chicken. Now I rarely eat beef or pork. Veggies are necessary of course.

Dear Hilda, How I loved your VEGAN revival and I have been a Vegan now for the past 12 years. It wasn't for animal rights but because of health reasons. However, since then, my heart goes out to the animals and what they have to endure due to our obsession with eating meat. - Blessings, My Dear Friend, Daniel

Vegan is certainly healthier and better for the planet. I no longer eat beef. Love your poem, Hilda. :)

Thank you for your comment. Cattle are terribly mistreated. I don't eat beef either.

I wonder, sometimes, how much better off the world would be if all "species"...especially humans...were still part of the food chain. I do love my veggies, though...especially in a salad alongside a nice, juicy cheeseburger.

The cheeseburger might be humankind's last predator. Thank you for your suport.

well said, hilda! i'm not a vegetarian but rarely eat red meat. i can understand the mindset of someone who eats a vegan diet, but i'm not ready for that kind of commitment and i could never give up dairy...

I probably will never meet my goal, but every little attempt helps. Thank you for stopping by.

Are you vegan dear hilda? This is a very new form of poetry for me and i love how youve written this. Again this is a thought sometimes that crosses my mind. But nowadays vegetables too are not so fresh in many parts of the world. Sigh! But vegan is now a lifestyle for many and a healthier option. Pleasure reading you always. Sending you light

Loving animal, I can no longer eat mammals. I am trying to phase out dairy. I will never give up fish. I still eat eggs and small amount of poultry. Thank you for your thoughts.

Great suggestion in times of fast food, chicken nuggets, Kentucky chicken and steaks. If we begin eating vegetables and avoid consuming meat, that will enhance our immunity and add to our well being by way of better health.

Eat plants. We don't need meat to be big and strong. Ask the elephant. Thank you, for this, Hilda. Ask the gorilla, though they do eat some meat. Mostly plant life though.

Great idea Hilda. I'm not quite there. Vegetarian since 1999, but still eat some dairy.

Yes, it's not easy to quit dairy. I'm not vegan myself but I am trying to cut out dairy because of cholesterol. I don't eat mammals. Thank you for visiting.
