Easy

It’s easy to stick to what you know And go to where you always go Without those question marks, although Your world stays rather small. Yet many are content that way, Preferring life to always stay Familiar to them; who’s to say They’ve made a lesser call? For as I age, I like that more But still, I clamor to explore The lands that wait beyond my door; There’s no right way for all.

This is so true, Ilene! The wanderlust of youth has run dry in my old age. Home is not only cheaper but also safer these days. As for my cynicism, it's mostly a vehicle to express with humor my years of observing human nature – a weak excuse, I suppose. / M

Another FAVorite poem for me! The context is obviously well thought out and I agree, but the rhyme scheme is really different, to me anyway. I'm not really well versed in all that but the aaab is compelling. Well done!.....pat

Alas, the sad part is the need to travel whilst one is young and the experiences will be more useful, not when one is elderly and in search of the nearest toilet! Seniors don't like change, but your poetry can brighten their day! Aloha! Rico

Nope --- as long as there are no regrets. Those can be VERY frustrating as time and opportunity (and health) wind down. ~ Gershon

I'm with Jan, while you have reasonable health go for it. That's what I'm planning to do, you don't want pages of regret in your book of life. Get down the travel agents tomorrow lol. Tom
