Early Spring

I saw a nest today -- first new for the year; Colorful, feathered architects a-flit and a flutter... weaving, securing, sharing a cheerful, chirping, instinctive mating mutter -- though the calendar says not quite from winter clear… but critters, themselves know when spring is near – far more accurate than a short skirted girl, pointing to a map with a wiggle and a twirl….

'Feathered architects' building nests and singing joyfully cannot be seen during winter. It is a sight we can see only in the other seasons. These precursors of spring add to the beauty and sound of nature. Love the way you have described their 'flit and flutter'. Birds and beasts have greater intuition of the changes in Nature than human beings! Happy to see you after a break dear Joe !

Hi Valsa, still not a hundred percent, but the cataract surgery went well, and my wonky eyes are settling down. Should be back in full force soon.

Yes they know well before we do. Advent of spring elegantly captured, Joe. I have seen the signs as well, lately,

Amazing how they can sense often better than our fancy instruments...maybe we are hurting our children by inventing, doing too much for them...not allowing their natural inner treasures to outwardly mature? Who knows?

Great personification of a bird as spring comes near. Would that it were here now.

Hi Victor; sounds like you are getting Cabin Fever -- I know the feeling well, a sunshine kid myself. It is already spring in Phoenix Arizona, everything starting to bud, though our winters are also mild, day-time temperatures seldom below the high 50's. Blessings my friend.
