The golden sun upon the eastern horizon reveals
The creek's rise coating burgundy and red leaves
I stand and watch for a short time
Then turn, duck under the warm house's eaves
Coyote pups yelp, bark and howl
Their sound carries far and wide
It is scary to hear their tune
Their sound is like someone died
