Eairlest Memory

My earliest memory is rather sad I watched my mother die Only memory of her I ever had Through all the tears I cry Some poems seem so hard to write Will the pain never end? Poetry to me is a spiritual fight One that I hope to win Most painful memory I can’t forget One I cannot let go It is a pain that I’ll never regret Because I love her so I don’t understand what a meter is Or if I ever will But I know that this truthful rhyme Expresses how I feel

Hi Michael I can feel your mother, for she lives on through you always. So hard to lose a parent anytime, but when you're so young, it almost feels like a void that can never be filled. But here now within your words you're on the path of healing, which is always the right road to be on. On this road you see and feel many things with an open, pure heart. That is indeed what you have. Your love is strong, so beautiful to see, written in your amazing words. Take care Love Light Truth Patricia

I could not imagine what would have become of me, had I lost my mother so young. It was difficult enough in my older age. I'm so sorry for all the pain you bear. Deeply emotional and well written. Good luck Michael. Love, Shar

Michael this is an amazing piece of writing. So honest and painfully sad. A hard memory to have, you are such a strong and special person. Thank you for sharing this with the PS family. Oh and by the way, I don't know anything about the meter thing either. I just write me, just the way I am, with no apologies. Smiles from Lolita

Some memories are too painful to bear, but writing and sharing, bit by bit, can be healing.....Your poetry reflects a little of that taking place here and now. God Bless...

Coming to terms with the death of your mother at such a young age must be very difficult. My mother died young and I still cry thinking of all the time I have missed spending with her. This touching poem has both "truthful rhyme" has excellent meter and a message to which so many can relate. Beautiful work, Michael. Love, Carolyn
