Notes About The Poem

(Entry for the Irish Themed Limerick Poetry Contest, Sponsor: Tania Kitchin, submitted March 25, 2025)

Dublin Rain

Ah, the Irish city of Dublin!
Sure 'tis always bustlin' and rumblin'!
And, at times, when it rains,
folks try not to complain,
in spite of the puddlin' and bubblin'!

Nice one Jim. Only 2 times in Dublin. First time it rained quite a bit. 2nd time there was a drought. Congrats on your placement with the Limerick

Lol, you got that right Jim, when it rains in Ireland it rains, bit of mist they call it. Good luck in the contest. Tom

Tom, I once heard someone call the rain "liquid sunshine"! I come from a rainy place (and it's raining here now as I write this) and, sorry, but that expression just does not work for me!!! Thanks for checking in. Take care.
