Drifting To Be Owned
DRIFTING TO BE OWNED
The spotlight shining bright on the stage glares
I tend to melt away in my shadow
When the cacophony of clamour blares
I find me lost in the shimmer of show.
Seek solace taking me to calm forest
The dark winding pathway takes me nowhere
A bird of lost wings in deserted nest
I’ll fly again, find my sky where you are.
The falling sky melts the cloud of dismay
In the flood my abode lies abandoned
Forlorn in the storm I lose me to stray
Drift to your heart to anchor, to be owned.
I want to find me where I used to be
In the trove of love, don’t abandon me.
