Dreaming
Dreaming of all the lovely things
I when asleep travel through life
pausing to take things into my heart
It could be something very simple
Maybe the way a tree bends
or a crooked flower whipping
about in a strong breeze
each has its own beauty
The top of a mountain
that shows a stunning vista
making your heart beat faster
as you drink it in with wonder
As you awake refreshed
you relive it once more
maybe wishing you were there
amid all the wonderous dreams
Yet you were and you take the best
with you seeing them all over again
