Line of inquiry:
as an entity in the dream we conjured
we know not we are both the dreamer and dreamed
how then may we wake up when we are in trance
in bondage to illusions we ourselves streamed
Stop, my friend
Rest your heart
Seek the peace that lives
Inside those who simply believe
Inside those who seek God’s will
Stop, my friend
Listen to the light
Who guides us beyond the overcast skies…
Sends peace to quiet our fears
Sends hope for the tears of our praise
Sends love that will forever amaze
Sends grace for the loneliest days
Stop, my friend
Run away from life’s sin
Remember He is there, always in each prayer
Revealing His love – a love from God above
Sent to save the soul of those who truly know
He is love and He is hope – He is grace and joy
Stop, my friend
Let the tears remind you to look back
See the dreams that have been lost
Dance through the seas, remember the cost
What He gave – when He saved
Stood between our hearts and the dark
Shadows, secrets, silent and still
Flowing between yesterday’s despair
And today’s sweetness, the moments
Bittersweet adventures, dramas and dreams
Flooded with the rains of defeat
Remembering…
Stop, and listen
Hear His voice in the night
Life is such a long, long fight
Despite the dreams, the echoes
Reverberate across the hills,
Low, still meadows drenched in grace
Deadly dreams – is it fate?
Stop, my friend
See beyond the dream
To the heart that was stone,
The heart who has grown
Healed by the love, from above
He trembles in softest songs
Embracing hearts who’re lost
Restoring despite the cost –
He is the answer to every prayer
He is the faith that is so very rare
He is the love that makes me aware
God truly does care….
Stop and hear Him speak
In the voice of those who believe
His love came to seek those who weep
His love came to still the worst agony
His love came to hearts who believe
No dream could ever compare to this reality –
He is the light, the love, the answer from above
Who kindles flames of grace,
Sends joy through every praise
Silences the winds of shame
And reminds hearts that He can create
A soft and tender heart from a stone, cold one.
He is the Son and He is the light of my world
He is the One who changes dreams to beautiful wings
Changes hearts to kind and warm
Changes lives so they’re like the quiet dawn
Vibrant as the love that comes from One
Who makes us all sure that real love is found in the SON!
