Dragon Ride

See the purple dragon Riding on the wind See the golden tiger This side of the spring This side of the sailing On blighted sea of tears And the mighty engine Running on his fears If he fades in sunlight And he rises in the dawn There will be a cooling Of his midnight form All he ever wanted Was his autumn ride And to be forever Always by her side He will never hurry Onto barebacked sand While his loyal following Resting in command Do not weep for him now As he joins her there And his midnight yearning Couples with his fears All he ever wanted Was his handsome rest And the the midnight calling Closing on his breast Never more a weary Never more afraid As he peels back clearly All his handsome fears
