Down This Road

on a snow covered slope for what seems like miles the serpentine lines lead back to you when the sand, surf, and sun join hands with the blue horizon you watch in naked awe still down this road I need to know your plans your simple goodbyes

Very nicely composed. You said a lot with very little words. Love the use of "serpentine miles"

Stopped to read again. Love can be blue in fact eventually it all ends up that shade. But it can be rollicking fun too.

A former muse asked me, "do you have time for love" and that question led to this poem. Ninety percent of what I write is like that. Straight from the heart. Stop bye anytime Pat......................peace!

When I was writing song lyrics love was perfect, but when I started writing poems love became sad and blue. Go figure. Thanks for stopping by..........................peace!
