dont let money blind you
They say money buys happiness
But to me its just nonsense
It cant buy things that are not
From a loving caring heart
That really shows how you feel
Emotions pure honest and real
Not an item that you find
On a shelf--it isn't kind
To try and buy someones affection
Your going in the wrong direction
A pocket full of green money
Is never a reason to be
A soulless shell who is blind
To the world of being kind
Using money as a crutch
Will not let you feel much
Surrounded by a lot of things
That aren't very comforting
So please open up your eyes
Look and you will be surprised
At a world of pure beauty
That can not be bought by money
A family to love and hold
That won't leave you in the cold
Flowers look like pretty rainbows
Stars in the night sky that glows
Trees red, yellow and green
That make a pretty outside scene
Gorgeous birds and butterflies
Soaring high into the sky
Please open your eyes wide
Taking a long stroll outside
Finding new things everyday
That are free--you will not pay
Money's only good for bills
Or if your sick needing pills
But please don't get in too deep
That you have to crawl and creep
Out of a big whole so far down
That you suffocate and drown
Inside a pit scary and dark
Money built around your heart
