He captured my heart, many years ago
Told me His love was there for my soul,
Lost in the promises, the everlasting flow
Wonder that consumes and makes one whole…
He whispered His grace through my life,
Promising joy, peace and forever in paradise,
Wherever He is, there will be no strife,
And, I know I’m His because of His sacrifice…
He said that I am loved and saved by grace,
Without Him, I’m so lost and without a prayer,
I know God’s only Son will forever erase,
The sin that tore at my heart in ways I can’t bear…
He came into my world to show me the way,
Even when I don’t understand, His love remains,
Calming, healing, reassuring me every day,
Because He forgives, He released me from my chains….
He listens to my heart, showing me He is there,
Forever my guide, forever providing joy and peace,
Beyond all my words, His love will truly prepare,
I know that I must decrease – so that He will increase….
He restored my soul with a gentling touch,
Beyond words or poetry, forever haunting me,
Are the songs that bring so very much,
Joy, hope, faith that saves His adoptee…
He is the reason my heart keeps believing,
Without Him, I couldn’t face tomorrow,
Without Him, my soul would be grieving,
He is the One my heart will never outgrow!
Never stop believing…
His love is not deceiving!
Never let go of His hand…
He’s the One who’ll always understand!
