Domestic Voices
Virile green voices grow longer
louder
lasciviously livid,
Commanding her domesticating mind
to cut them off,
trim them down to size,
to prune and shape
manipulate
Show them and her who's in charge
cooperating together
at just right
and fresh trimmed length
of light.
Inside Sunday sanctuary voices
hum over and around organic prelude pipes
Hoping she will ring our sacred sounds,
domesticating diverse delightful choices
Inviting her restless mind
to cut them in,
grow them up to fit size
to enchant ecstatic re-creations.
