Dogs and their Owners

You’ve heard it said a dog’s mug often resembles his or her owner’s? I for one have no reason to doubt it. Why, just the other day while walking my dog, I passed a lady of fine breeding walking her poodle, its hair frizzed and dyed to match her own. And how forget the pudgy shuffling gentleman whose jowls hung flaccid like those of his overweight basset hound! The match would have been complete had the dog been puffing a cigar and stopped to take a leak on the tire of a parked car like his master often did.

LOL. I am a dog owner and over the years have owned several border collies. My wife tells me I get hyper and restless too many times so I can see myself here.

This poem is based on personal experience at seeing dog owners looking remarkably like their dogs! Happily I look nothing like my dachshund! Thanks for the stop by, Oliver
