This knocked the air outta me, I felt your words. How I have sought that rest/end in past years now gone. I'm curious about Canada's progress with brain injuries. US neurologists treat for migraines which isn't helpful or accurate. My best chances for cures are thru our professional football teams which are rife with concussions. I hope you've fared better in Canada? I've learned my 'head' symptoms change over time & I suspect will lifelong, but cognitive skills show no improvement. CayCay

Have you looked in to Sacral Cranial Therapy for your migraines?

I have found so much helpful info through Ted Talks, PCS organizations like Concussion Legacy Foundation, on line support groups. DIET is key! It's all about inflamation. I've just started up NeuroOptimal Neurofeedback again, calms central nervous system, for me helps with anxiety, brain fog and noise sensitivity. Osteopath next... And no, nothing covered by provincial health insurance.

You get it. <3 If not for the NFL and locally, Rowan's Law, to eventually hearing someone on CBC Radio listing my symptoms I would still be in the dark. My father still suggesting I go the conventional medicine route, despite my telling him they're ten years out...

You give us a teeny glimpse...a moment in time - the weight of the world.

I don't have TBI, but I find PTSD utterly exhausting and "heavy" to carry around. Very aptly worded poem, my friend... *hugs*

The less is mo formula ;) It is a weight. You get it. I should disclaimer I'm not there, I'm no more fascinated with death than I've always been (death the topic of high school public speeches, science fair, paintings, poems...) ;) Thank you lovely! xomo

One should always consider one was indeed LUCKY to survive the ordeal and with such luck, one is most likely to do more harm than good by attempting suicide! Aloha! Rico

I have always felt lucky there, and there is truth in your words. This my humble attempt to inject empathy and understanding into such a difficult subject, a bit of answering that "how can anybody kill themselves" question. Thank you my friend, xomo

aptly called an invisible injury, even to the injured, the brain is the only part of your body that does not tell you it is injured. x
