Distant Lie
The dark hours of the night
No one by my side
Shows me that---your words are emp--ty
as you try
to lie to me
again, my friend
Its funny how many suns have set,
yet, i won't forget,
the countless times,
that I have went,
strung along
thinking that
you were the one.
Ohh how I was wrong
How are you going to tell me that you love me,
when you are still a thousand miles away?
Why are you trying to love me now,
when you never really wanted it that way?
I can reflect
on how we met,
but that story isn't a fairy tale
Now I know, just all too well,
how that story goes
You thought you had me
I thought I had you
all of your lies they- they held no truth
I wanted so badly
just to believe you but
Ohh how I was wrong
How are you going to tell me that you love me,
when you are still a thousand miles away?
Why are you trying to love me now,
when you never really wanted it that way?
