Hold your tongue, please I don’t want to hear you tell a lie You made a wrong turn, now you wanna try to exit right with a cry Tears that once would’ve moved me, they just make me wanna say goodbye Salt water that once would’ve ruled me, don’t taste fresh once you’ve figured out why My heart get acid burn ... I burn on the inside every time I see you cry Dissolved, problem solved But I did give us a second try My heart get acid burn ... I burn on the inside every time I see you cry Dissolved, problem solved Can’t listen to another wet lie It’s been said the more things change, the more things stay the same It seems like the more I be around you, the more I get used to feeling pain My heart get acid burn ... I burn on the inside every time I see you cry Dissolved, problem solved No more tears falling from my eyes My heart get acid burn ... I burn on the inside every time I see you cry Dissolved, problem solved Weepy eyes tell me another lie No more wayward tears must I watch fall from your wandering eye You’ve been creeping for years, covering your alibi tracks well with a cry Tears that once would’ve moved me, they just make me wanna say goodbye Salt water that once would’ve ruled me, don’t taste fresh once you know the reason why My heart get acid burn ... A lyric that will resonate with many. Sad that people feel the need to lie. Relationships are built in trust once gone it's nearly impossible to gain trust back. Great lyric!

Freddie, very well done. No-one should have to go through being lied to, especially ongoing. The pain is not worth it as well. Great work with this writing that many can identify with. Take care. God Bless

Ty, Heidi. I re-edited this poem, expanded it and made it full length like my song version. Sometimes we put up w/a lot because of love ... but at some point when a person don't change, gotta dissolve that relationship. Love and hugs, dear.
