Dipping the Shallow Waters
Dipping the shallow waters
my soul ignite
a sweet baptismal
of the endless flight
And to watch silent
soft trees in sway
where for a moment
everlasting peace
and completion
takes me away
I count the wild poppies
like the rosary beads of grace
and I pray for the world
on this sunlit
summer day
