Digital Technology
In my youth
I disassembled
my father’s alarm clock.
Spent the day spinning
the many different “tops”
(also known as gears)
I found inside.
He was not happy.
I was much more unhappy.
I learned that
things work better
If I leave them alone.
I have since
worked on skyscrapers
and bridges
and still maintain
full control over my digits.
Every day I explore
the complexity of such
extraordinary
digital technology.
