Digital Love
I often wonder —
is this how it’s always going to be?
Only showing our love
electronically.
Do you think
we’ll ever get the chance
to hold each other’s hand?
I’m in love with you,
but I don’t know.
Sometimes I’m scared —
is this as far as we’ll go?
But it doesn’t change a thing.
I love you
for always being
who you are
with me.
So tell me —
why does it feel
like just a fantasy?
I’ve dreamt of your voice.
It’s different every time.
I wish I knew it,
so it wouldn’t feel like a lie.
I wish
you’d take the time.
We’ve never spoken.
We know nothing
of each other’s lives.
The past doesn’t matter —
but still,
I want to know why.
