Sara, I like how you've conveyed the transient essence of elegance and grace, as a diamond gem nicely cut.

All of us are with rough and jagged edges. Just as a diamond is turned into a sparkling gem by the blacksmith, we too are turned into dazzling gems by the hands of God. A poem of deep meaning. All the best, Sara.

Thank you, Sara B. Your comment is uplifting. My evening was nice. The first part of the night I slept fairly well but then the wide awakes hit about 12 midnight and it was a restless night after that. Sara K

Your poem stirred my emotions. My Mom, who raised me was only 21 when my mother gave me to her. She was a kind soul, who raised her own two kids by herself and adopted my two cousins, when her younger sister passed away. She loved diamonds and I called her "Norma In The Sky With Diamonds" in her eulogy.

Marilene, yes, the mom who reared you was a diamond. I know she did a good job since you were filled with emotion. I am glad that you had someone who loved you and treated you well. Thanks for sharing this story and for the visit. Sara K
