Devolving Poem

A ballet on the river Hot humorless jagged rocks cut through omniscient anarchy Voices of space melodiously chant in mesmerizing light The misanthropic ants crawl on reality as I sit by the river's edge Nowhere to go hide behind cacophonous clowns…vehement vaudevillians A parenthesis that expands into a void I am here but not here Time’s arrow is relentlessly forward Vortices of apocalypse approach seething with malice Going nowhere (hoping for a gentle slope) Persistence is futile in the Kingdom of Pain The universe doesn't work anymore ----- Jagged anarchy chants apocalypse Parenthesis hides ant ballet Misanthropic voices seethe malice Vortices appear on river's gentle futility Arrows of space mesmerize light Humorless vehement clowns sit on the edge Vehement arrows are futile Persistence is not here I crawl on a river Space is relentlessly melodious The sitting rocks revolt in the malicious Kingdom Reality works for the void
