Devil's Hidden Ranch

DEVIL'S HIDDEN RANCH

Coyote howl, dogs growl
Gunshots, dead cow
Red barn left unlock
Horseshoe upon death's door
Tequila in a cup
Salt of cocaine, shadows of insanity
Guitar string, sad song
Bandit near the door, wife on the floor
Hallucinating---Reality
Yelling out her name, he's gone insane
Loaded gun, life is done
Far and near ending his intoxicating fear
The road under the sun
A coward in his path
Responding to the Devil's wrath

In a Hidden Ranch in Mexico!!!!!!

:) SKAT

SKAT A . . . I was checking out your poetry here from the past. This write is quite interesting and intriguing. The imagery you used here is quite enchanting and captures the reader's attention at once!! This would not be a very nice ranch to visit. Most Excellent Write!! Cheers and Best Wishes, Gary

Nice work capturing the frantic mood with stunted lines and descriptive words. Have a good day and God bless!

nice art, well articulated...the 'o' sound throughout adds to the dark meaning of the poem...Allan....

This would make a fine modern movie - how about Clint Eastwood. I will have to read this one a few more times. LOve, Dave
