Despising My Body Today
Have you ever had a headache at the top
Of your spine, in your neck, at the base of
Your head?
This is where mine is.
Reminding me that I despise being human.
Squeezed into this treacherous body,
The one I did not feed right,
Did not water enough, and
Am not presently taking care of.
Blaming it for my abuse.
