Once more he’s bet a bit too high. He cannot hide the worry. I’m hidden well here in the pack and I am in no hurry. I am one of a tattered, well-worn group. Very soon we’ll be discarded. We might as well have a little fun before we are all parted. I know he is searching for me to go with his king and jack. He’s eying the other players and the dealer’s dwindling stack.
