Desert Well

In the parched desert
Bedu nomads search the night
For the buried well
In the desert of the mind
A healing fountain will flow

This is a tanka that is so well crafted, I am awed. Those two separate instances so beautifully connected. I learn a lot from you.

I know yes, I use the word Bedu myself too :). I work with and translate pre-Islamic Arabic poetry. And though Su'luk aren't Bedu, it's sometimes needed for translation purposes

Thanks, Darren. Your comments are always most welcome. The term Bedu here is a commonly used abbreviation in the Middle East for Bedouin. I think we learn from each other. John
