Desert Storm
Winds and rains fight all night,
lightening and thunder crash down.
Blowing so hard it was a fright,
earths folage getting tossed around.
Lightening flashes in blackened night,
heard thunder's rumbling sound.
Enraged, as storm impales much fright,
charging over desert's barren crown.
Tumbled weeds wheel out of sight,
gullies filled with watered dreams.
All the things left laying in sight,
are found floating down flushing streams.
Morning comes at new dawn's light,
sunshine climbs over a waning moon.
Dreamlike, is the gardner's delight,
as deserts burst into rainbow blooms.
When day's noontiime comes around,
cactus's have rushed their displays.
Most brilliant colors that do abound,
exotic plants are instantly portrayed.
