Desert Beauty
Statuesque, long-legged, unbelievably sexy,
swaying hips, seductive walk, knees bony -
the sophisticated wasteland dromedary.
Contentedly grazing in the punishing heat,
chewing on crisp, thorny blades bit by bit -
a graceful sight in the parched desert.
Nonchalantly old school, high and mighty,
dismissive in her in-your-face snobbery -
the condescendingly aloof, pretty lady.
Though of royal ancestry and convent bred,
she doesn’t impress wise and worldly Fred -
she is amusing, that enticing, young maid.
While maybe admiring of her slender beauty,
I am turned off by the lass’ humped identity -
ah, better the bourgeois, petite, lazy donkey!
