Descent And Ascent

The turning wheel of time stirs up the dust of disarray
that settles in the crumbling cauldron of disordered life.
In the maiming moments of disdained dejection
truth tumbles in the debris of disorienting tribulations.

In the disorderly squall of divesting disarray
the mangled mind is disheveled to dishabille state,
tries to snap the chord of captivating desires,
the psychic cascade of unconcern forces them to descend.

Chasing the mirage across the dunes of desolation,
the hope of taking life to the oasis disappears deluded.
As the beleaguering storm of disenchantment blows,
consciousness takes the correction course to undo dispair.

As I search for the lost me in the depth of introspection,
I listen it whispers the swan song of awareness,
resonating with the penultimate rhapsodic rhythm
of my soulful melody of susurration.

Released from the clasp of karmic destiny,
I transcend the limits of time and space,
yearning to embrace the arms of perpetual peace,
beseaching my soul to ascend to the stratum of holiness.

I let it light in my heart the candle of altruism and love,
radiate the gracious glow of God's benevolence.
I then get liberated to rise high in the sky of infinite solace
within the quiet abode of absolute bliss in eternity.

Dear Subimal, your verse is beautiful in word choice, alliteration, imagery and metaphor. A profound introspection on the duality of mortal and spiritual descent and ascent. Congratulations for your success in Seeker's contest. Warmest wishes my poet friend.. ~Susan
