Depth
Musk sodden jackets
Pulled tight
round
icicle pricked skin
Wind snakes its way
past collar and wrist
shedding skin on spine
Sunlight loses time
Winter counting seconds
as stripping leaf from tree and vine
Amber lies divine
Frozen breath
shortens in air
forced through fingers
to create some warmth
to spare
