Depression

I feel that people don’t listen and They really fail to hear How my depression goes deep And how it opens my deepest fear My mind tends to play games and Nothing seems the same To open up about my feelings I feel so ashamed I am this worthless person Not able to pick myself up I feel I am not worth it And life really sucks Depressed in the morning, Depressed all day long Depression is my middle name So I want to be left alone When I look in the mirror I hate what I see I wish I could fade away It’s a tough journey every day I am just an old frame and A broken down old shadow Why am I stuck in this body And why life doesn’t matter Tears became my breakfast And pills is always my lunch I feel like I’m in a boxing ring Knocked down with every punch I don’t know how to make it And I fail to simply get through I’m only sure there is no joy No matter what I do Others may understand and Find a way to cope From where I stand in life I can’t find and see no hope Maybe if I'm lucky My life will bring a change And if I'm only dreaming Depression will always Be my name

Hello Lillie...I really appreciate your comments in which alerted me to your page. This poem is written in great detail to that of the title. I love the flow of how you wrote it. If I may add my two-cents...I'd like to say in response to this poem that we're all here for a reason. You're a piece of a puzzle awaiting it's place.
