Dedicated Connections
In The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying,
Sogyal Rinpoche writes, unconvincingly,
to my left-brain dominant ears,
"No suffering,
however dreadful
[and even mortal],
is
or can be
meaningless
if it is dedicated
to the alleviation
of the suffering of others."
This abstract act of "dedication"
sounds suspiciously left-brain dominant
to me,
Looks like rationalization,
Feels like arguments
for a view of "sublimating" sensory desires
and denials
that would merely replace,
by act of superego sustained willpower,
one disconnected set of sensual attractions
and distractions
for another.
As if left-brain reason
could control our natural
spiritual flow of hormones,
the multicolored elixirs of right-brain connecting
and as yet disconnected feelings.
Anyway
[kinda got lost in the analogy
which is more of a right-brain metaphoric
metaphonic
polypathic
polyphonic search for connections,
reconnections,
preconnections,
unconnections],
I can imagine:
No suffering,
loss,
humiliation,
excommunication,
death of an organic left-brain dominant EgoSystem,
however dread-filled,
is,
or can become,
meaningless,
If this event
can be connected,
and resonantly reconnected
to enlightening
and thereby empowering
the alleviation of Other's ecosystemic suffering
loss
degradation
disconnection
marginalization
apartheid,
death of an organic right-brain interconnected
Whole Open EarthSytem View
of spiraling
revolving life and death
Reweavings
ReGenerations
Multi-ReGenerations
Interdependence
of democratic
life systemic
sacred Power
secularized Light,
bilaterally resilient Positive/Negative Energy.
