Death - In My Mind - Treason
DEATH - IN MY MIND - TREASON
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Fiction or I'm blind, are you a ruse from a troubled mind?
You love me, you love me not, the ring, love, thrown in my face.
Your words seduce me, but your actions, they are so unkind.
You leave me standing, stripped, humbled, naked, so in disgrace.
You see me begging mercy, don't pretend you can't see, feel.
Lift me, hold me to your breast, ask me, know I will say yes.
Times I think you are unreal, unstable, lost, off keel.
Life together, your love for me I've had to second guess.
My muse has written this on my behalf, the words, all mine.
Her pen, she filled with my blood, blue with rage and disbelief.
Love, thought eternal, on my part, to death, the end of time.
I have seen love in your eyes, now just emptiness, much grief.
Please, I love you, please tell me, please, please tell, give a reason.
Why now? 49 years of pleasure, don't die, that's treason!
