Death

Dawn in full scope Sculpts brief new hope To help us cope Grand dreams now fade In sweeping trade Made yet unmade Joy in brief spring Mellows to fling A hollow ring Too soon life dies In oozing dry A final sigh Death is not late In stroke of fate Here by this gate No need to fear What yet seems clear Love holds each dear A friendly squeeze A final sneeze Gone with the breeze We mourn the dead In fear and dread More dead than dead Leon Enriquez 13 December 2017 Singapore
