Death

Death I wear my skin Close to my heart From outside in Ripped clean apart My soul is lost My blood runs free At such great cost It's there to see My heart it bleeds My blood it flows Onto my sleeve As my life goes My voice lies still Silenced by will My love is dead My eyes don't see My blood runs red What's wrong with me My ears don't hear My hands don't hold I cry no tear Though I am cold My mouth won't talk My life bleeds out My legs won't walk There is no doubt I am no more Of that I'm sure My time has come To lay me down For I am done Upon the ground This is my end To one and all Without a friend My final call Time marches on Remember me For I am gone Not whom you see I've lost my head I'm surely dead (C) Jane Shields
