Death, Where Are You
Death, where are you
01/05/2018
Battered and broken, body a crumpled and crushed mess,
Lifeless on cold concrete, near death, in distress.
Motorbike versus truck, who won? Well you can guess.
Death, where are you...
No emotions, no fears, no nothing. Just pain.
I lay there in agony waiting in the soft rain,
For my life to ebb away, to quiet my wailing brain.
Death, where are you...
Breathless and beaten, I wished my life taken.
Why should I live with life as I knew it forsaken.
When my head hit the ground, why did I awaken?
Death, where are you...
Ten years have passed since that fateful day,
Destiny decided there was a price I must pay,
With my ability to run and jump for joy taken away.
Death, where are you...
Rhyme and Refrain.
