Oh, bring me gentle wildflowers that blow,
and the green hues of a forest in solitude;
and all those sweet violets, purple hued.
Melt the thick ice so winding streams can flow,
and fill the trees with bird songs that echo.
Oh, change the winter shadows with spring renewed,
with leaves that unfurl and uncurl in quietude.
Let your rich embroidery spread and grow.
Dear Spring, will you pour your dappled sunlight,
in swaying meadows where brown swallows float on wing;
and a thousand chirpings mingle in flight,
where butterflies and hummingbirds on flowers cling;
then, let me lay in lush grass in delight.
Oh for this- Dear Spring, I have been yearning.
