Dear Mrs Brown

Dear Mrs. Brown,
I am writing to ask you if you believe in St. Valentine's Day.

Your prayers have been so mature and sincere, I thought you would know ... I recall one February 14th, it was way past dinnertime, when my Valentine's came to me. I had reason to hope, but by 6 -O-clock in the evening, sadness gave way to despair. Then as if all the words of Jesus came in one big evening, I had the best Valentine's Day ever. What caused the delay?

I know you get lots of mail, Mrs. Brown, and delayed sending you one more. But then your prayers for pastors and missionaries had so much protective power - umbrella and shield - I just wanted to talk further with you. So, thanX much even if the mail does fail, because your faith and our Savior, Jesus, won't. Ever. Amen

I didn't know who this Mrs. Brown was. Now I know. She is an angel rooted in deep faith ! Her prayers for others will be heard by Jesus. As she believes, He knows what is best and He may not always grant what we ask. A heartfelt gesture of gratitude.

Your letter was touching, Anil. Sometimes you may pray about something that you want. Remember, it's His will be done, not ours. (Remember the garden of Gerthsemane.) Jesus prayed to the Father. "Not as I will, but as you will" (Matthew 26:39). Our lives are planned (Ephesians 2:10). If you ask for something, it might not be in God's plan at that time. He has no set schedule. I have found that the best things in life have come from unanswered prayers. Thank God every day. He knows what is best for us. I am praying for you always. Yes, I celebrate Valentines Day. Blessings ~ Debra
