Dear Friend

Dear friend, who buoys me up, though we have not met except as poet friends by internet, I hope one day to see your smiling face, reach out and give to you my fond embrace. Written 2/26/2020 as a thank-you verse dedicated to all my dear friends; you know who you are! Inspired by Cecelia Hopkins-Drewer's Occasional Poetry Poetry Contest

Does verse need rhyme? I get confuseder and confuseder about verse, I do. I love this sentiment, so poectic, so beautiful, so heartfelt and so about you and I. That last was written with a giggle, I know your heart has many rooms for many good friends on Soup. Love this, Andrea. CayCay
