Deaf Eyes
"If a tree falls and your not around to hear it
of course it makes a sound
Even though you weren't near it,
even though you weren't around
Kind of like thunder clapping
throughout the clouds
But you never see it coming,
and when it comes it's so loud
How could something that no shape or form
have such enormous force
Now we can see and feel the snow and rain-
and the sun conquers them with no remorse
Now the blind can't see
and the deaf can't hear
But the deaf can see the world-
and the blind have heard all there is to hear
When the blind cover their ears
and the deaf close their eyes,
neither can listen or stare
But they feel the vibration from the thunder-
and the breeze from the wind
and with no sight or sound
they know that it's there."
