Wearing masks
They dance, laugh and sing
So carefree
Full of life
The musicians follow them
All pleasing the crowds

In costumes
They take the old route
So sombre
Sad music
Pipes and slow beats of the drums
A march for the dead

I do try to give the kids a scare, but sometimes they do come back after realizing what I was doing. As for turning out the lights to avoid carolers, I wish I we HAD more carolers in the US. BEen popping my surgery pain pills for this unrelated back pain and soon they will be gone. Will have to find something else that works! It's funny you asked about hubbie.
