Days of Rain
Day one of rain, rattles down our drain
In the air there's a new fresh smell
Day two of rain I'm working tonight
So easy to sleep and feel well!
Day three of rain, the grass shines new
A gully washed down by our home
Day four of rain, is a little bit much
We feel cooped up and very alone!
Day five of rain, would prove the end
Leaving my yard, a murky soaked marsh
Then someone said, "We needed it, though!"
What I replied, came out quite harsh!
