Days of a Student

Listen to poem:
September smiles and packsacks
Long loose hair
Free in the Indian summer breeze
Eyes lit up with hope
Invincible and brimming with vitality
Poor yet so rich in possibilities
Whole life ahead of you
Carefree
Free of obligations
Options much less restricted
Than you might think
The world opens its arms
To welcome you
Dream big
Go for it
Stretch out
Reach for the impossible

If not now, when?

I graduated with my bachelors degree the day after my oldest daughter graduated from high school, so I can definitely relate to this poem, Line. I got my masters at the age of 44, and I've used it for 21 years already. It is NEVER too late!

Very nice entry for Rob, Line. He likes really mysterious stuff, and I can't write that way so I hope what I come up with will even be something he likes!

It's helpful knowing contest sponsors' preferences. It would be useful if they gave us a hint on the contest guidelines, e.g. I LOVE this and I HATE that... Or we can continue to learn the hard way LOL

Yes, never too late to go back to school, to be inspired, to dream big - so motivating!

Indeed, Michelle. You just reminded me of the sabbatical year I took to study finish my bachelor. Going back as an adult was euphoric - I actually moved on campus and I appreciated every single moment.

Yes, this is so inspirational. This one is a keeper, Line. With a positive attitude and some education, there are no limits to what one can achieve .
