Day Into Night
Night falls, hiding so many things
With darkness that the sunset brings
As if the troubles only reside inside
When they’re actually lurking, as people hide
Not enough truth in this blanket of lies
Not enough truth about someone who dies
If only truth was not being hidden
If only truth spoken not being forbidden,
This treacherous path would not be so
Filled with evil that people do not know
Confusion is brewed in a stew each day,
As people choose to have it, in their dismay
Yes the night falls, in the here and now
But it’s lurking, waiting, to attack somehow
Stay strong, stay brave, and hold onto light!
Welcome the comfort all day into night!
