Dawn's Delight
First rays of light announce the dawn;
they dazzle in their interplay
with frost still resting on the lawn.
The heralds draw the curtain back,
delicately announce the dawn,
till all are bathed in light and lack
the shadows of the night, now gone.
A slow crescendo from the gray,
the world goes spinning ever on,
brings forth another wondrous day.
Give praise, with joy, announce the dawn!
