Dawn of Love

When first breath we shared we became as one
A new life for two lovers had begun,
Like the seed an implant that grows to bloom
Or a distant sunrise born to illume,
Treasured moments to nourish between two
Yours to vitalise me and mine for you,
Whilst time in silent repose fails to tame
Nor soothe a furbish lust with love it came,
On a clear day’s inconsequential haze
Labyrinth of passion amidst the maze,
Their agony and ecstasy completes
The story of true love between the sheets,
In another era t’was meant to be
Yet dared steal these moments for you and me.

well Sir Harry, your poems cannot be read just once. The sadness in this sonnet is palpable today. Whether "maturing" or age, disease, or love triangles ... change our lives, DEEP LOVE never dies. It may still be touched, felt, re-lived. (Of course, RESURRECTION is what Jesus specializes in, so I always return to the foot of the Cross of my Awesome Savior) shalom, shalom Sir Harry.

I found this a bit sensuous, Harry. Do more like this!! The ending couplet for it was superb and it told so much.
